Ashburton Garden

This is a landscape design for a new house in Ashburton to match the owners’ life style. The family wanted an entertaining and barbecue area at the side of the house.  Children’s play in the back yard and a productive food garden in the front were other priorities .
The front yard is now an array of raised vegetable beds. These beds are in an interesting variety of heights. Also, a central sitting space, in which to pause and interact with neighbours, is rimmed with espaliered fruit trees.
