Derrimut

A new garden landscape was needed for this generous family home that had an expansive back yard that was almost completely concreted. There was no garden to speak of and didn’t encourage anyone to enter it to play, relax or entertain.

A new garden design removed the concrete and placed a stone gathering space by the house beneath a vine clad pergola. This led to a tear drop lawn embraced by an expanded garden that would buffer the fence lines. At one corner within the garden, there is a children’s play zone with soft fall mulch, sand and large rock features. At another corner, beneath developing tree canopies is a casual paved ‘garden retreat’.
